Media Release
From today, the Tuncurry community can complete NSW Government transactions in a modern and welcoming space at Tuncurry Service NSW Centre following a recent refurbishment.
Around 80 per cent of the centre has been transformed, with a new layout designed to enhance the customer experience and improve comfort, convenience and accessibility.
Doors have reopened with people able to receive dedicated support on 1300 NSW Government transactions and services in the one spot.
New features include more customer seating, a dedicated meeting room for appointments, a concierge counter for Service NSW team members to guide visitors on arrival and upgraded lighting with a dimming option to ensure a lower-sensory experience during Quiet Hour.
The upgrade is part of Service NSW’s state-wide refresh program, which is focused on delivering better access to government services by improving the spaces where customers interact with frontline teams.
For people impacted by the recent East Coast Severe Weather events, disaster services are best accessed at Recovery Centres and Recovery Assistance Points with Service NSW team members able to assist with applying for the Personal Hardship Assistance payment and providing advice on other support.
Applications have opened for the East Coast Severe Weather Personal Hardship Assistance payment and the quickest way for eligible customers to apply is via the Service NSW website or the Service NSW app.
Eligible individuals will receive a one-off payment of $180 or up to $900 per household to help cover costs such as food, clothing, medicines and emergency accommodation.
To receive in-person support on government services, Tuncurry Service NSW Centre operates Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.
