Who can apply for Dine & Discover NSW Vouchers?

Can I apply for vouchers if I have a property in NSW but my primary address is in another state?
No, to be eligible for the vouchers, your primary residence (where you spend the majority of your time) needs to be in NSW.
Other states have similar support available to residents – check your state government website for details.
Applying for vouchers
How do I apply?
If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can apply for Dine & Discover NSW Vouchers online.
- a MyServiceNSW Account.
- 2 proof of identity documents such as your NSW driver licence, Medicare card, Australian passport.
Note: the names must match on your documents.
- a mobile device (iOS or Android) to download the Service NSW app and use the vouchers.
Can I use my NSW Photo Card as proof of identity to apply online?
If you'd like to use a NSW Photo Card as a proof of identity document, you'll need to apply at a Service NSW Centre.
How do I apply if I do not have a mobile device or email address, or I have no internet access?
Do I need to apply for the vouchers by a particular date?
There is no cut-off date to apply for the vouchers and they can be used up until 30 June 2021.
How will I receive the vouchers?
If you're successful, you'll find them under the ‘Vouchers’ section of the Service NSW App, ready to use within an hour.
You'll also receive an email from Service NSW with the vouchers available to download and print.
Why are my vouchers not showing in the app?
Check to see that you have the latest version of the Service NSW app installed. It may take up to an hour for the vouchers to appear in the app after you've successfully applied.
As you'll also receive the vouchers by email, check your inbox and spam folders for an email from Service NSW.
Using the vouchers
How do I use the Dine & Discover NSW Vouchers?
If you're successful, you'll find the vouchers under the ‘Vouchers’ section of the Service NSW App within an hour. You'll also receive an email from Service NSW with the vouchers available to download and print.
- Find a participating business.
- Log in to the Service NSW App on your mobile device.
- Select ‘Vouchers’.
- Select the valid voucher you wish to use.
- Present the voucher QR code for the business to scan at payment.
- Your device will show the voucher as being used.
If you do not have a mobile device, you may use a printed voucher or voucher code. Both printed and digital options can be accepted by participating businesses.
What activities qualify for the Dine & Discover NSW Vouchers?
- Dine NSW Vouchers can be used to dine in at a restaurant, café, bar, winery, pub or club
- Discover NSW Vouchers can be used for entertainment and recreation, including cultural institutions, live music, and arts venues.
When can I use the Dine & Discover NSW Vouchers?
Dine NSW Vouchers and Discover NSW Vouchers can be used 7 days a week, including public holidays.
I have a PDF or printed Dine NSW Voucher that says I can use it Monday to Thursday. When can I use the voucher?
You can now use your Dine NSW Vouchers 7 days a week. You don't need a new voucher and can present your existing voucher at participating Dine NSW businesses.
What types of activities are excluded from the scheme?
Vouchers cannot be:
- redeemed for cash
- used for
- takeaway meals
- online orders (Dine NSW Vouchers only).
Can I use more than one voucher for the same bill?
You can only redeem one voucher per day at a business. However, you can combine your voucher with another person's voucher towards the same bill.
Can I use a voucher if the bill is less than $25?
Yes, you can, but neither you nor the business will receive the leftover amount. Any balance of funds is given up.
For example, if you spend $15 and use your $25 voucher to pay, the voucher has been used in full. The remaining $10 balance is not available on the voucher or given to you as change, and is not kept by the business.
Can I use the vouchers outside my area?
Yes, once you have your vouchers, you'll be able to use them at any participating business in NSW that is registered as COVID Safe.
Where can I find a business that accepts vouchers?
You can find a participating business online or in the Service NSW app after you've received your vouchers.
Why is a business declining my voucher?
A business cannot accept a voucher if:
- they're not registered and approved for the Dine & Discover NSW scheme
- your voucher is no longer valid.
How do I ask a question or provide feedback ?

How do I report a person or a Dine & Discover NSW business for suspected fraudulent activity?
Call Service NSW on 13 77 88 if you suspect that a person or business associated with the Dine & Discover NSW Voucher Scheme, is involved in fraudulent activity.
Service NSW will investigate the allegations based on all the available details. Please provide as much information as possible, including:
- the name of the person or business
- the date of the incident
- the type of Dine & Discover NSW Voucher
- a summary of the allegation you’re reporting
- your contact details (you can remain anonymous, if preferred).
Your information will remain confidential (unless sharing is required by law).
If evidence of criminal behaviour is identified, we may pass this information to the NSW Police for further investigation.
We may also use the information to decide whether the person or business can take part in the Dine & Discover NSW Voucher Scheme in the future.
