Stay NSW Vouchers help support accommodation providers in NSW impacted by COVID-19.

NSW residents aged 18 and over can apply for 1 x $50 voucher to use towards the cost of accommodation bookings. ​


To apply you must:

  • be aged 18 years or over
  • be a NSW resident.

What you need

  • a MyServiceNSW Account – you can create an account when you start your application
  • 2 proof of identity documents such as your NSW driver licence, Medicare card, Australian passport. 
  • a mobile device (iOS or Android) to download the latest version of the Service NSW app and use the voucher.


  • The names on your documents must match. 
  • If you'd like to use a NSW Photo Card as a proof of identity document, you'll need to apply at a Service NSW Centre.

How to apply

  1. Select the ‘Apply online’ button.
  2. Log in, or create your MyServiceNSW Account.
  3. Follow the prompts to apply for the voucher.

If successful, you'll:

  • find the voucher under the ‘Vouchers’ section of the Service NSW App within an hour. 
  • receive an email from Service NSW with the voucher available to download and print.

If you do not have a MyServiceNSW Account or you're unable to apply online, call 13 77 88 to apply.

Voucher rules

The voucher can be used :

  • once (if the bill is less than $50, the remaining balance cannot be used)
  • 7 days a week, including public holidays
  • at participating NSW businesses
  • for an accommodation booking
  • until 9 October 2022.

The voucher cannot be:

  • redeemed for cash, gift voucher or credit note
  • used for:
    • Airbnb, online accommodation booking platforms and travel agents.
    • food or drinks
    • spa services.

How to use the vouchers

  1. Choose a participating business where you'll use the voucher.
  2. Log in to the Service NSW App on your mobile device.
  3. Select ‘Vouchers’.
  4. Select the valid voucher you wish to use.
  5. Present the voucher QR code for the business to scan at payment.
  6. Your device will show the voucher as being used.

If you do not have a mobile device, you can provide the business with a printed voucher or voucher code instead. 

Both printed and digital options can be scanned by participating businesses.
